Apparently using a small chunk of code, a website can get a unique ID number for you if you have windows media player installed. This number could be used to distinctly track your surfing, and could be exchanged with other websites. So read the article, and make sure you follow the directions to disable it. to disable: opwn windows Media Player, click on the Tools Menu, then Options. Uncheck "Allow Internet sites to uniquely identify your player. ". If you don't have this option, then you have an older version, and should upgrade anyway.
