Wifi Interference from Light Bulbs

Robert Cringley writes a good article: Running Interference. The only point I have to pick about is the complaint that WiFi users only need 1 or 2 megbits/sec, because they're mostly connected via DSL, and can't transfer to the Internet that quick anyway. What I'm curious about is if he's thought about the people that like to transfer data between computers on teh WiFi network only, without using the Internet. I'd have to estimate that 75% of my traffic from computers in my household are to other computers in my household not to or from the Internet. I have 100mbit ethernet in my house, and the differene between 10 and 100 is drastic, and well received. I'd have to choose the 11mbit WiFi option.
